Customer Reviews
-
Just received my chair (bought online from an outside vendor) and after about 45 minutes on the porch putting it together, here are my initial thoughts.
- Assembly was pretty easy, not too many parts to deal with and no special tools needed except the allen wrench they provide and something to open the box.
- The massage is surprisingly strong and deep. You gotta lift the pad for the deep massage. I have a dedicated shiatsu chair, though that one is much stronger, my girlfriend prefers the office chair. Probably not as "harsh" on her back.
- I kinda wonder about the long term life of the motors, I am 260 lbs and I'm sure that strains the motors. If used in the office for a couple of hours a day, that is a lot of work. We'll see!
- Also, the heat is quite pleasant and warm. Again, surprisingly good for a $200 chair.
- I like the retractable cord that comes off the rear of the chair. It's about 10ft of cord.
- As a chair, it is a bit narrow (I'm 5'8" and 260 lbs), but not too bad. The arm rests don't adjust and would be nice if it extended forward a bit.
- The seat and armrests are firm with a warmish fake leather. Not very plush.
- The seatback is also very firm and very straight. With the pad back on, it is like leaning against a board (well, padded board). I guess it can't have any real curves because of the shiatsu tracks, but not the most plush chair to sit in for long periods. The pad lies in the center of the chair against your back. Kinda concentrates the pressure on the center of your back. Not the best feeling.
- Leans back solidly. But because the seatback and arm rests are joined as one unit, it is a very stiff recline.
Overall, on the merits of an office chair, it isn't plush or especially comfortable. The center pad puts a lot of pressure on the muscles along the back which could cause aches. It has height adjustments and leans back, but that's pretty much it. Definitely not an executive chair. But, the massage and heat is pretty strong and I'm sure your cubicle mates will gawk with envy. Just hope the motors last, but there seems to be a 2 year warranty which should help those fears.-pol128
