I too have owned the previous model, but unfortunately, all the plastic inside that held the body together, disintegrated and could not be fixed. I have used and loved this product from the start, so that is why I ordered another one for myself and my sister. A perfect solution for all those annoying aches and pains.
It says not to use at bedtime, but to me it is the perfect solution for a good night's sleep. One con is the cord is not as long as the older version, but I can adapt.

My husband and I tried a demo of this out at Bed Bath and Beyond last year...and bought it immediately! I am currently studying Criminal Justice, and after a long day of tactical training, this is exactly what I need!
Money well spent...before knowing the price, we both assumed this massager was close to $100...we were delighted to find out it was so inexpensive.

I have had mine for 3 years, and I love it! With bulging discs, and pinched nerves, this is the only relief I can get. I do not need someone to help me try to relax the muscles, as with the long handle, I can get every inch of my back. I find real relief after appx. 3 minutes of massage. Try one for yourself.

I have owned and used this massager for over 10 years. It is the BEST and I would recommend it for any one who has had a pain in the neck, shoulders or even in the legs. Great and worth more than any price they charge!!

I have used this product for many years now.. great with heat, I suffer from headaches - migraine and tension. My shoulders ache,and this messager really helps break them down...I'm glad they still carry this messager for mine is several years old now. Still going strong.

This massager was truly an investment!! I have occasional back pain, and absolutely love massages, but its way too tiring for my husband and kids to be rubbing my back, so I bought this instead. Its easy to use and seems to have just the right amount of pressure. Now my husband and kids don't mind using this to massage my back, and its perfect every time!

Some here complain of the speeds and the touch, but I am absolutely in love with this massager. I suffer from neuralgic pain in my legs and pain in my back and shoulder so I need as many ways of attacking pain as possible. My complaint with most massagers is that they don't do enough. They are too weak and ineffective. But this one is great and really gets deep inside the tissue to alleviate pain.

If you have problems with pain that are not superficial, you might find this to be as much of a lifesaver as I do. I own a number of Homedics products and this might well be my favorite of the bunch.

Additional note:

One of the problems I have is with RLS (Restless Leg Syndrome). After writing this review I have discovered that this massager is quite helpful at calming flare ups of RLS. Unable to sleep, I used it on my legs and arms and my muscles all seems "quieter." Although the symptoms flared up a couple of hours later, I nonetheless was able to get a couple of hours of sleep before waking up again. I am now officially hooked on this. Along with the Homedics shiatsu pillow, this one of the two Homedics products I don't ever intend to be without.
