this operates a bit noisely, and gets hot fast...but so far AOK.

Very durable product. Yes, easily cuts through up to 10 sheets at a time and quickly too. I don't know what to think of the CD/DVD shredder though as I think it's damaged (shuts off when inserting disc and nothing appears to be impairing path) but it only makes a few straight cuts that I can do with heavy scissors. I give it 5 stars because it does an excellent job. I use 8 gallon bags that line perfectly inside and no longer use the CD/DVD tray.
The whole usage of product is for ease of mind and use it almost daily so is definitely worth the investment.
