I have a big family, so ironing all of their clothes was truly a chore and often it went undone, but now every time I do my Laundry I "iron" what needs to be ironed, it's great! I'm buying a second one for x-mas for a gift to my mom. It's ready to go in 4 seconds. The pole could be a bit taller, and the base could use a brake, to prevent it from tilting over, not that it has happened, but it could happen. To create a crease on pants, I place my pants on my bed (an ironing board might come in handy), then I'll create a crease. for me it fit my budget, its fast and convenient, and it does its job. it takes the wrinkles out! Remember that if it runs out of water a safety switch goes off, and one might think that it's broken but just remember to reset it before sending it back. And try not to let this happened. Also if water is left on the tank to long it becomes grouse! so just use a bit of bleach and rinse it out. I have had this for 2 months now and I use it for an hour straight every week to week and a half and as often as needed there after. It still has not needed to be cleaned with vinegar as the instructions recommend. good buy. hope this helps :)

I have had clothes hanging in my closet that I haven't worn in ages because I just won't ever get around to ironing them. Now that I can just run the steamer over them, my wardrobe is resurrected. I'm not suggesting they come out crisp and pressed as if ironed, but all I want is for them to be not wrinkled and presentable. I am very pleased with the steamer for that job. The steam starts in a few seconds. It is very easy to use even if it takes a little getting used to; after a little practice, I've gotten the hang of it and can get my clothes ready to wear in just a minute or two as I pull them out of the dryer. The main deficiency, as I've seen mentioned in other reviews, is the fact that the hanging pole is nearly worthless for the steaming process -- too flimsy, to wobbly, too short... I just use it to hold the wand and hang the clothes over a door or even just hold them up so it really isn't a problem (as you can see, I didn't even dock for it in my rating). As far as dying and not coming back on; I did discover that if it runs out of water, you do have to press the reset button BEFORE you turn it back on and then it worked just fine again -- but before I discovered the process I was groaning a bit thinking it really had died. All in all, I am very happy with my steamer and the ability to painlessly get my clothes ready to wear so easily.
